What monthly gifts can do
Monthly gifts from $15 a month to $100 a month have the power to impact a students life. At Makr we categorize these gifts in two ways, Direct Student Support and Indirect Student Support. A minimum of 70% of our monthly giving goes towards things that directly support our students. Monthly gifts make it possible for students to access our lab. Including access to the supplies they need to complete projects, along with the tools and equipment needed to learn. The remaining 30% of our monthly giving indirectly impacts students by funding our team to deliver consistent mentoring to the students.

Why one-time gifts
One time gifts from spare change to end of year giving are exceptionally powerful. At Makr we use these gifts primarily for our general fund and big one-time purchases. A minimum of 70% of our monthly giving goes towards things that directly support our students. One time gifts make that possible, and actually allow us to direct more of our monthly giving to go straight to our students.
